Sorry if this has been asked before, anyone know where I can get a reproduction set of decals for my '73 Colony Park?
Like engine stickers for the 460, or jack instruction stickers, etc?

Don't know about decals for the actual car, but my friend found a rack of key chains in a barn recently, everything from ford to fiat. 60's and up. I helped myself to one for my 87 mercury. There were several versions but I got the one with the actual head of , I'm assuming mercury ? Pretty cool. Lemme know and I'll snap some pics of the different designs. You can have one! Although I think they are some kind of reproduction.(the leather all looks the same and the emblems are mostly stickers) still looks cool on the key chain! Sorry I guess this doesn't answer your question

And since I got my laptop running again, I'll see if I can post those emission stickers I found at Pull-a-Part, so long ago. cameraphone 132.jpg cameraphone 134.jpg

This was in a '77 LTD with a 400. The odom said some fairly low number, like in the 30,000's or so, but was so clean, it looked like near new, so I assumed it was original mileage and always garaged.

After years of long life, good service records, and only driving it to church on Sundays, the old lady finally died... and the family got rid of the "ugly, polluting p.o.s" :tsk:

You know how it goes, they think that just because its 30-40 years old that it's a polluting unsafe large rust bucket p.o.s that "no one would want so lets do the environment a favor and junk it" its the same people that thought cash for clunkers was a good idea! :banghead:
It's like this old man that lived next to my grandma, he drove an old land yacht, probably the last car he bought new before he retired... guy was still around in the early 2000's pushing 100 years old... had to be... anyway speed limit in town was 25 mph, you'd see him roll up the street in that big yacht just putting along not even stepping on the gas, just roll by at 10 mph... that car ran like it needed to have the carbon blown out of it, paint was faded, vinyl roof was starting to fray at the edges...but the old man kept it garaged, and it probably had low mileage as he never went out of town in the thing.
I bet you the kids finally got rid of grandpa's (or great grandpa's) "old road boat" because it was a "polluter" and it was a California car... just saying, its sad to see nice cars (or easily restored/fixed cars) in junk yards just because someone assumes no one wants it...

Leadslead this is all so true. Even though I gave my oldest son my decent 1939 Ford coupe with low mileage Chevy 307, needing a basic resto and gave son in law my half finished 1948 Chevy panel truck none of them really care about old cars. Yes, I realize a 307 is not a great engine but it ran good and still has under 50,000 miles.
But they don't have GPS, back up cameras, or cup holders. Even worse, they have to manually check the tires and oil. My other cars won't last long after I'm gone for the same reasons. A 1955 Chevy wagon can't compete with an SUV with heated mirrors and seats.:slap:
Good luck on finding the decals.

Wait wait wait, you gave them a '39 Ford coupe and a '48 Chevy panel truck?o_O how come I didn't get so lucky?
Who needs cup holders anyway? when you learn to shift gears, eat your lunch, and keep a drink from spilling while you drive, you've mastered the art of commute driving!

It seems to be an ironic reality.

Folks who don't care about old cars are given old cars. Folks who love old cars are rarely given old cars.

    I've witnessed it personally.

But---but, but they begged and said they'd love to have them and it's family. So when I gave my son the '39 Ford he said it needs too much done and he wanted the panel truck. I 'splained that a '39 Ford coupe is worth way more than a junky Chevy panel and with minor work, the new battery, new radiator, new fuel pump, rebuilt carb, new cables all the way to the trunk, etc. it could be on the road in no time. I reminded him the low mileage tires are nearly 40 years old and still have Illinois air in them. He forgot the old Ford is as old as his worn out dad and I still have my original engine.
So the paint is popping off the old Ford in places. They should see me up close!
Speaking of decals the like new 307 GM decals are still on the engine.

I saw the discontinueddecals. They make decals that no longer available from any manufacturer.
