The outfit my sister works for is a sponsor of this show. I'm planing to attend, so I thought I would share with the group.
Sounds like it will be a good time.

The boys and I headed down to Kennewick for the Wheels on the Ave car show this past Saturday.
It was the first time for this event, and they had a nice showing. Officially there were 106 cars, but I believe there were more than that due to the number of vehicles that arrived after registration closed.

Not a huge surprise, I had the only wagon in attendance.

I had a little help getting it shined up after the 80 mile trip.

    Cool bubble-top Pontiac.

Not to often I see another Plymouth in the same year range as mine. The 65 Belvedre II was in very, very nice original condition.

I don't know why, but I thought of Denny (ModelT1) when I saw this cool extended cab hot rod chevy pickup.

The event was held in "Old Downtown" Kennewick. There were some neat old store fronts with some neon and such.

I thought it was a pretty neat truck. They did a nice job with it.

Yeah, it was a good show. Nice to see some variety.
My car did get quite a bit of attention. Most folks seemed to like the "way back" and all seemed to have stories about ridding in a wagon when they were a kid.
It was fun telling people that the car was originally from Kennewick. The actual dealership was on the same street that the car show was on. I thought that was pretty neat.
Sadly, the dealership is long gone.
