I am putting the SS wheels back on my 2 Door Caprice. So I am looking for a different look on the 73 Estate. I am not wanting Cragar's, Torque Thrusts, or anything else that is "common" I am after a different wheel that hasn't been played out over and over again. I am hoping my car is done at the body shop by August 3rd. Let me know if anyone has some ideas.............

When I had my 73 Impala wagon,I ran the moon style dogdishes(like found on the base model early 70's Chevelles) and skinny ribbed trim rings with black steelies and stock sized whitwalls.

I know I will probably be in the minority with this opinion, but I like these! The more aftermarket wheels are done on these wagons, they end up being the very things "being done to death"! Nice, handsome and year-appropriate wheel covers on original steel wheels, with beautiful whitewalls end up being the unusual. (y)

Here's the wheel treatment I did on my 91 Oldsmobile. The factory wheels were in sad shape,so I did some Chevy truck rally wheels, and bought some vintage style custom hubcaps for it. Made a huge difference in how the wagon looked.. img_0870.jpg

My wife HATES wagons. Especially woodgrain wagons. SO it has to have wheels, hubcaps are out and it has to look good. Otherwise she won't ride with me. She loves the 2 door Caprice, thinks I am crazy for driving the wagon and not the 2 door

So what is the problem???? You drive the wagon in a nice safe respectable faction and let her "Dukes of Hazard" the caprice, after all it's only a .....2 d00r Caprice that...can't go camping in, can't haul nothing, bad d...........and then life is good, rite?;)

    :hide:.............:D:rofl2:

And you know, so I don't look like I'm forcing just one option on you:

I am just a big fan of the Corvette rally style wheel. I have chrome one's on my wagon project and the silver painted one's on my pick-up both with the flat style cap but they have several neat caps for them and they are under $400 with caps and shipping. Just my :2cents:
