We have had a fairly mild winter this season. But yesterday afternoon and evening we got more snow then we had all winter. It was pretty this morning, with the storm passed and the trees covered in snow against the blue sky. After a closer look I think this tree will have to come down, a lot of the branches broke off. My dog had a blast while I was shovelling, then I had to put her in the house to thaw and then I got to wash the floor... snow storms are a lot of work. Lil Sis spent the night outdoors. She had a thick blanket of snow and the lilac bush was bent over close by but no harm done thank goodness. View attachment 58645

But yeah, that is certainly gorgeous. Mom always loved fresh snowfall, and swore oaths of harm to us kids if we frolicked through what was visible out the windows. I once got the redass from her when I took my 1/35th scale WWII models and put them into 'natural' dioramas and snapped pics.
We got it wed and thur, school closed both days and some schools closed on Friday. Over 60,000 lost power and many still havent gotten their power back. Um its March, get the F out Winter!!
My mom was different. She couldn't wait until we left the house, no matter what the weather and that we played with the toys we got for Christmas at all. I got all of my redasses indoors. Well, most of them, anyway. She wasn't happy, when I moved out, though. But, that's only emotional. Kids have to move out, otherwise they can't develop enough to fit into society properly (not that I ever did, despite). I'd go hurry and get out a can of clear coat, to spray those paws, so that they stay that way. You'll never know if they'll ever look like that again. The patina treatment will keep them looking that way for life: I never knew that bugs fly around in Winter, up there:
Well that looks like it was a doozy. Glad to hear you all made it through safe and sound. Wagon and Dog included.
Maybe she is a very tall dog??? Actually it doesn't always matter how much lands on the ground but it's how it got there that makes a storm.
