The bear should be thankfull that the cop wasn't overzealous. An average one, according to contemporary standards, might have blown the bear out of the car. Well, maybe the bear couldn't work the radio, to where it could tune into some Hip-Hop station, possibly saving its life, or the fact that it wasn't wearing hanging-at-half-crack trousers. Note that the arresting officer wasn't wearing S.W.A.T.-type military gear and was confronting the bear alone. If that isn't deserving of a medal, I don't know what is

It's easier than to be taking them to the pound for putting them to sleep there. Or do you mean that not only cops shoot people awful quick? Because of employee cut-backs, I can imagine that cops need help with it
