Car guys are a close knit and trusting bunch. Now days with the advent of the computer they are easy targets. Many of the so called parts people are dishonest too. I have been ripped off by some of them myself since I have a wagon that has some unusual and hard to get parts. Nothing major so far....if it's an expensive item I do deep research before dealing. What people like the company above don't realize is that there are different ways of doing business. Lawyers cost money and the courts take forever. It's much cheaper and faster to just convince a rip off artist to make things right quickly by paying them a simple visit. Some people are just really good at conveying the importance of clearing things up quickly if not painlessly.:yup:

Towards the end of the Mustang thread they said the police keep saying it's a civil matter but hopefully more will come out in the next week or so. I can't see how it is. We all know what they say he law is.

It IS a civil matter. As unfortunate as it may seem....that's the way it is and the cops will do nothing. Again....lawyers and the courts will cost tons of money and years of time. The legal system is worse than the crooks. I grew up with friends that have refined powers of persuation. Easier, cheaper, faster and more satisfying.
