    Hi New lady with 1958 Chevrolet Brookwood Station wagon. Looking for ideas to replace tailgate latches with hyrdaulic bars.

    Welcome Wagonlady. Look around and check out some of the threads. Add more photos. That looks like a great wagon.
    I'm sure someone will explain what needs to be done to add the hydraulic cylinders. All late models have those front and rear so parts stores do have replacements.

    That looks like a sweet lookin' '58 wagon...always loved that body style.
