It's sad to see the old drive ins disappear. We have been lucky around here though. One just opened up right down the street from me this past fourth of July!!:yahoo: :yahoo: It has been tremendously popular, and has the in car service... Last October you couldn't even get close to a parking place when the annual Pumpkin Run car show was going on..

P1800es - really neat car. The guy did a nice update putting on the 240 turbo wheels, too. Always thought Volvo dropped the ball whey they didn't bring out a 2nd generation of this car. Keep the styling touches that make it unique (frameless glass hatch; 'wagon' roofline), but update the overall look. I believe there was a Volvo econobox some years back (the 340?) that kind of echo'd the styling, but I haven't seen one in the flesh (wasn't imported to N.A.)

Very nice I saw a deep/forest green one last summer. I guess the closest you can get to a modern P1800 is the Volvo C30

    and the late 90s MZ3

Back to Wagon Spotting. I saw a slightly rusty 1978-79 Dark green Fairmont wagon with the same tan interior as mine. I think he's from around here, so I'm gonna watch for him once the weather is better and mine is on the road again.

My wife mentioned yesterday that besides our wagon, her all time favourite was the VW Brasilia wagon - Air-cooled VW. So I'm gonna watch out for one while I get things shakin and movin on my Spring/Summer projects.

I'd really like to get the garage built this year. Two bays and a pit underneath. The pit is for Geothermal heat, not changing mufflers.

    More spotting

How about this one. Apparently a dealer in Brazil made 200 of these. This one has A/C and a 302.:thumbs2: It's a 72 Maverick.

First time i've seen a maverick wagon. Dealer did a real nice job on the conversion. Any more pics? BTW - went on our honeymoon in M-I-L's '72 Maverick 4-door. Our '68 Camaro 6-cyl wasn't the most reliable at the time.

Its a 1976 Maverick that was converted in 1978 or 1979. Mavericks in Brazil never got the big bumpers like North American Mavericks did.

Here are some exclusive, never before seen pics of the wagon (Im 99% sure these are being shown on the Internet for the first time!)

Here is a picture of the owner and me (Im on the left and he is next to me).

He is from Brazil and I met him at a the Maverick/Comet Roundup last summer in Virginia. The wagon was not at the roundup(its in Brazil), but he gave me some pictures of the car.

Ive been hording these exclusive pictures as I wanted to hold a "Name that wagon" contest for the 2 year anniversary of this site in May. I did not think a picture of a Maverick wagon would come up! :banghead3: How did you find the picture?
