NIE CAR, BUT THE TITLE ISNT CORRECT. THEY DIDNT MAKE A CAPRICE ESTATE IN 72, IT WAS NAMED THE KINGSWOOD ESTAE. IN 73 THE KINGSWOOD NAME WAS DROPPED AND THE CAPRICE ESTATE NAME WAS USED IN PLACE OF IT. . I JUST GOT MY 73 CAPRICE ESTAE 2 OWNER CAR FROM NEBRASKA WHERE SHE HAD BEEN STORED IN AN AMMUNITION WAREHOUSE WITH ANOTHER CLAMSHELL,A 71 BUICK ESTATE WAGON ,FOR THE LAST 22 YEARS. I TRADE A 73 GRAND SAFARI WAGON, ROLLING 75 CAPRICE BODY AND $800.00 FOR IT. I GOT AN ORIGINAL 83,000 MILE 454 POWERED 8 PASSENGER WAGON, SOME VERY MINOR LOWER RUST ALL EASILY REPAIRED AS ITS UNDERNEATH THE LOWER WOOD GRAIN MOLDINGS. WISH IT WAS A 72, BUT I DO HAVE 2 OF THOSE ALREADY, ONE HAS A 7 CYLINDER 400 SMALLBLOCK AND THE OTHER IS AN ORIGINAL 400 CAR GETTING A 454 HEART TRANSPLANT. www.demoderbyjunk.com . HERES SOME OF MINE AT HOME.....

Well guys I just saw 3 clamshells get derbied in Waller, Tx. A 74 impala 4 door sedan won the derby. I am torn. It was disturbing to see these wagons get wrecked, but awesome to see their sturdiness in action. The derby had 40 cars and the above 4 were the last left. One reason I like my cars is I can have them as a hobby and still feel safe driving my little 19 month old daughter around in them. The derby guys are just like every one else. They want a certain thing and they pay money for it. I have decided that I will refrain from complaining about them and try to make as much money as I can. That way I can buy clamshell wagons and 74-76 impalas. The derby guys will sell these cars for the right price. So I declare: "Save a wagon, buy it".

Nice car! I think I remember this car... its a 2-seater, 400 car and other than mine being a 3-seater 402 car, I think they were closely optioned. I also think that one lacks tilt wheel.

I wish mine was that nice though! I bet it runs better too! LOL

    ...... gasp....

I'm dreweling..... wish mine looked as good as that one....

    mycar.jpg

Just looked at that Derby site..... I was in SHOCK!!!!

Do these people don't realize they are wrecking the littlebit of culture that the US brought into this world?!!! They should be executed......!!

It's so F*ckin hard to find cars like this over in Europe.... these pieces might be worth only a couple of hundred bucks in the US, but a couple of thousand in Holland.

I bought mine for €3700,- that is $ 5500,- !!! And it's not even in good shape. My Carburator needs revising. I need a different LPG Tank. The rear door part doesn't open. And there is a LOT of rust. I'm even afraid to start looking at the bottom. Anyway.... I fell in love with this car. I realy want all kind of parts lying around. SO PLEEEEASE you DERBY WRECKERS! Use a Toyota next time!!! But leave the Chevy's alone!

please please pretty please with a cherry on top!

Well....what I don't understand is how someone that has been banned can post again???? Does banned just mean that they have the word under their name but can still post? Or do they just use their son's or daughter's computer? Again.

I'm just kidding with you, Fox, because I think that you think that our banned demo-dude just posted, but the thread is from last April! Google Emily Litella and you will laugh!
