A friend of mine is lurking a for sale 1966 Pontiac Strato Chief Safari, 4 door, 2 seats, 283 V8 in very good condition...Perfect seat...perfect body...All original...about 66,000miles...Asking price in the low $20,000...Is that overboard ???
Probably by a factor of two, but you never know. The best time to ask this question is six months from now. If the car has been sold, the answer is no. If he's still looking at it in his driveway, the answer is yes. How about some photos of this thing? Hard to make too much of a judgment on words only.
Canadian cars tend to not have the value of the American Pontiacs, and they are lower than similar year Chevy equivalents as well. I'd agree that the price is overboard unless it's in showroom new condition, and then it'd be a "sell to a specific kind of buyer" car at that condition. Going to need pictures to make any more than assumptions.
My friend did not buy the 66 Pontiac Laurentian Safari...i did...it is now in my driveway...and i am very proud...All original...One owner...low options...perfect condition...45,000miles from new...
