I do these road trips two out of every 3 years, one year I head west, the next I go east and the third I stay home.,I always try to vary the route even if it's only by a little so I can see different places. This year was taking US 2 all the way from Ironwood Mi to Everett Wa then hopping the Anacortes ferry, the scenery and the people make it great especially when you can do it in an old wagon, I got a lot of thumbs up, waves and comments along the way even from a few cops who liked the old Mercedes.

I'll bet, those cops wished they had Mecedes patrol cars. Especially, AMGs

Wow. That was an amazing adventure! Thanks for sharing it with us.
You sure covered a lot of territory.
It's neat to see all of the places you visited, and fun to hear that you went through my neck of the woods too.
Leavenworth is really neat, the Cascades are beautiful and the San Juan Islands are like no other place on earth. I'm sorry we didn't know you were passing through.
