For those who might be interested... I had true duals with walker turbos installed.... the gain in overall performance is considerably substantial and the sound is perfect...... haven't had enough drive time to see if mileage increases.... more on that later... motor is bone stock aside from a k & n filter...

By true duals, if you mean straight through, no cross over, do yourself a favour. Add a cross, either H or X. First the system scavenges better. Hot Rod magazine did a dyno test, and the cross over was worth a good number of horses by itself. There is one other very important reason to have the cross over. It can, quite literally, save your engine. If you clog or damage one of the mufflers, the difference in back pressure can burn valves. The cross over will equalize that and prevent the damage. If you drive the same as you did before, you should notice a gain in mileage. Any horsepower gain that comes from easier breathing give you better mileage, too, since that horsepower you are feeling is no longer being used all the time to push exhaust through the old pipes.

Awesome! That's one of the first mods I've got planned for my wagon.

N2Ford: I pm'd you with recommendations for the exhaust. You have LOTS of performance potential in that wagon, and he duals, done right will really help

Would love pics of how you did it. I'd like duals on my '92 OCC. I loved them on my '96 Roady. Miss the burble!

:hide:Oh, you mean the Roady you never should have sold?

:hide:Oh man, I just couldn't help myself, it being Friday, raining but warm, and every time you show pics of the Roady I think "what was he thinking":stirthepot:

Just trying to be helpful :tiphat:

Actually I quite like what you have now, particularly after what you have done to it. And you have built some pretty special memories with this wagon that can't be replaced.

Yeah, the Roady is pretty nice, I'd love to have it, but that trip you just took has to have burned that new wagon pretty deep in your memories - all of your extended family.

Glad to hear you doing the same on exhaust... you should be as surprised as me.... with the turbo style performance mufflers the sound is just awesome... just the right amount of rumble...
