THIS is a Full Garage - Keeping the Roadmonsters Safe
Ya know, if you park the wagon over to the left as far as you can get it, the other wagon right up against the wall, you might be able to back the sedan in, and get in and out of the sunroof.
Looks like your house was built when American cars were still "Fullsize"
My old house had a garage that couldn't even fit one car in... seriously. I kept the bikes in there but I had to be reeeeal quiet because it was attached to the house. I guess it was just meant for storing useless junk like all the neighbors would do
I gave my realtor two instructions... NO HOA, and a 2-Suburban garage. House built in 1977. The garage holds both those cars, a full-size refrigerator, two motorcycles, a roll-around tool box and large work bench. 70's houses are the BEST!
60's houses are not too bad.
At our other Illinois house I had four cars in a 2 1/2 car garage. I forgot the size. But most were older cars and I cheated. The Model T and 1933 Chevy had the bumpers off and were parked in line with bumper brackets of one over the other. I had my 1939 Ford up against the opposite wall. I could park my station wagon in what was left of the middle and carefully open one door.
I did exactly the same in Florida until I cleaned out a pole building.
I have no idea how old this 20X20 stand alone garage is next to a 1961 house but there is a covered patio between that friends keep telling me at least one more car will fit. I'm afraid if I do that I'd have to climb thru a window to get to the house side door. A 20X20 garage was not made for big Buicks.
Sometimes I enjoy riding around town looking into opened garage doors. I'm guessing 91% of all two+ car garages are just full of junk and there's no room for a Smart Car.
My house build in 72 fits the barge quite comfortably, I just have junk from moving in, remodeling, and tearing apart an engine on one side, along with a built in work bench from the original owner.
It's quite a nice garage, I just need to organize it!
