Found the Forum through a post on realoldspower.com and am glad to know it's here. And what should I see on your splash page but the photo I shot of my '69 Vista Cruiser, which is as good a starting point as anything. I'm an art director/photographer by day, and a classic car guy by night. The '69 was a well preserved low-mile original car (one repaint) when I bought it six years ago which unfortunately was tagged by a late-model Lincoln on an icy patch of interstate and been under a slow restoration ever since, so am glad to find another source for advice/parts/etc. Other cars in "the fleet" are '69 442 convertible 4-speed (first car since high school) '66 Olds Toronado Deluxe, my wife's '69 GS convertible, and finally my daughter's '63 Lincoln Continental (not the one that hit me). No trailer queens - we just drive and enjoy them. I'm president of the Grand Indiana Auto Tour chapter of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America. Pack up your wagon and join us this August. More info at: www.grandindianaautotour.com Good to meet everyone.
Welcome to the forums Steve. Funny thing is as I reply to this post, the Vista Cruiser happens to be the picture in the forum header(The pictures randomly rotates on each page load)! Its nice to know the history (although a little sad) of the picture, which was submitted to the photo gallery by a member of the forum. I hope that you stick around and show us some more pictures of your fleet (even if they are not wagons).
Welcome, Steve. I love the look of that '69 Vista Cruiser. Consider making a thread about the rebuilding in our 'Cosmetics and Restoration' section. Marshall
