Looks like we're going to get a bit wet here in the Austin/Round Rock area this weekend. This is our state right now...."It's coming right at us!" The toys are safe in the garage and under the carport. Plants are in, windows are latched. We'll see! Harvey is due to make landfall down in Corpus Christi tonight and we'll see the big rain starting here in the Austin area tomorrow. If the storm stalls to the south or moves east, we'll get nothing here, but if it moves far enough inland, we're going to get drenched. Going to be an interesting weekend! -Texas Mike
Good luck Mike. Take your raincoat to the Saturday nite cruise! I keep reminding my wife we nearly retired to Brownsville where a lot of coworkers went.
Good Luck, Stay Safe. You've got a couple of nice looking wagons there. If I find a clean 94-96 Roadmaster Wagon in white with wood - it is coming home with me. Seeing yours makes me a bit jealous.
Thanks. I love my 96 Roady. The 78 Electra is mid-restoration right now. I hope it will be a beauty again one day too.
So I just talked to Joe; he says he's got things together except propane but he's ready. Long as he sends me texts, I'll keep y'all updated.
How windy, then? Are you just getting a warm shower or is Bondo flying? Weather predictions aren't always accurate, you know. How many days have they been talking about it, already, and it's still no big deal.
Windy enough to knock you off your feet! its not raining hard at the moment, but that'll change. They had to evacuate the folks next to the river already, power keeps cutting out, cell phones are getting spotty... I'm no where near the coast either!
I heard, animals make a move, when these events take place. Are wayward alligators and anacondas to be expected to show up? Every snake on this planet is edible, you know. 'Gators, in any case.
Joe's not floating away yet, as he can still see under the tarp, but no more phone Internet, only texting.
