    Hello,

Im looking some help/info on a Rear tailgate window motor for my Oldsmobile Custom cruiser 1976.It has the clamshell tailgate and my upper window motor is missing.the previous owner removed it from the car because it died of water leakage, so i dont have any numbers examples etc.
Can anybody help me with some more info, pictures, numbers so that i can find the right motor for my car?

    Thanks for looking! Martin

    Martin,
those motors are not very easy to get... Do a search here on the board... somewhere there"s a post about having such a motor rebuild... so it is possible.
Maybe you could try to find a Fischer Manual... there is a complete chapter in it aboutr the powered clamshell:

Believe it or not, I used the guts from a 1964 Olds 98 power seat to rebuild (perhaps "frankenstein" is more appropriate) my motor in my Buick. My point is , even if you can find one non-working, they all operate on similar principles, and by gettin a real one, almos any similar motor could work to restore it. HTH.

I just saw this motor listed

on Napaonline- Something like $78. I was looking for a wiper motor and it was under the same category listed as tailgate motor.

    I found one

after a lot of surfing and calling around, i found a salvage yard in tulsa that seems to have the complete package to power my upper window, Woohoo:2_thumbs_up_-_anima.
Its in working order and it should be shipped to the Netherlands in a few days.the parts are from a Pointiac and it was the only one left on the yard, he will take it out of the car some day this week.

I will keep you all updated, and thanks for all the reply's .

Here you find an agenda for US-car meetings in The Netherlands (and a few in Germany and Belgium): http://www.v8meetings.nl/?p=p_2&sName=agenda-2009

There will be more dates added in the next few months (among them a Buick Riviera meeting, which I will organize)

    The parts have arrived!!!!

    The parts have arrived!!!!

Finally they are here, the parts to power the tailgate window have arrived from the US. the parts are in a good used order, a little rust on the outside, but nothing that i cant handle :p.
I did a little test run and the motor is working properly, the regulator now got some new grease in it and is working smoothly. update will follow with pics.
