Hey there! I have a little question for you guys.

I have all the kit to install my subwoofer and my amp in my caprice, but I just want to know something about de caprice's firewall. I think I can see it by the inside of the car but I'm not sure if it is really the firewall. From the inside, it is juste above the fuses, I can see a large amount of taped wires going into to the engine and from the outside, I see those cables in a wire protector that goes from there to the alternator. I think this is it right?

I need to pass a gage 4 cable there, but theres is a huge black thing above the firewall, can I remove it or it is important? It is circle shaped and it's black, I don't know what it is. I can't see what i'm doing with this thing in there.

Or if you have any other ideas of how I could plug that wire to the battery, juste tell me!
    Thanks!

Is it a plug looking thing? If so, ream a hole in it and run the wire through it. Also, run your RCA cables on one side of the car and the power and remote lead wire on the opposite. Otherwise you will get a whine sound through the system, its an alternator whine and gets really annoying. I always pull the sill plates and trim around the doors, peel the carpet back and run the wires and cables along there. keeping them as close to the edge of the carpet as possible, there is less chance of them getting foot traffic wear if they are tucked up near the trim.
