No, it's a hatchback where they replaced the sloped hatch with a squared off one - and speaking of Utes, the ElCamino was just a Chevelle wagon with the roof cut off and no back door openings. The floor pan even had the footwells for the back seat passengers. One trick on the 1960s ElCos was to unbolt the cover panel at the front end of the load floor and hinge it to make a storage bin where those footwells were.

My whole point here is that the lines between hatchback, wagon, and SUV are fuzzy at best. Both wagon and hatchback have a flat load floor and fold-down rear seat for additional space. The only real difference is the shape of the roof and hatch. Cars like the BMW X6 (aside from being fugly) are just jacked up hatch backs. Remember the AMC Eagle? Just a Hornet/Gremlin platform jacked up on Jeep running gear.
