I know this may not be the right place for this, but I had to say something. STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT!!! I have been on a plan with them for over 2 years now, and have had nothing but problems. I have the "renegade," and it's the worst phone ever! I have had 3 of them in the last year, it crashes and will fry it's own motherboard. It will freeze up, shut down, is VERY slow, and the battery life is terrible! I put it on the charger when I get home at 6:00pm and don't take it off until I leave the house around 8:30am. EVERY DAY the battery is dead by the time I get home! I have been in the store, and on the phone(that barley works) numerous times, and the best they will do is replace it with the same model. I have tried to up grade, but they won't let me do that unless I up date my contract to a new 2 year agreement, and BUY the new phone! What kind of crap is that? It's embarrassing to use a company that won't stand behind the product they sell. All I asked for was a new phone, and basically everyone I talk to tells me to go to Not only is the phone a piece of there customer service is worthless! Not a 1 of them speak English, and there DUMB! I actually had to tell one guy I talked to today how to spell the number 4! Im at the point of canceling my contract, and telling them to eat it! I have even talked to the cancellations department and told them that, they don't care. Apparently 1 customer means nothing to them. I don't mean to whine, just thought I would share my experience. In case you ever need to get a new phone company, make sure sprint is NOT on your list!
Rock, I vent here every now and then too. I figure that if my wife can use me to unload her frustrations, then this lounge is my only refuge! I've got a problem with a pair of remote phones, where one just won't let you speak. You can hear, but if you touch the keypad it cuts off the call. I had Cell phones when they were boat anchors and so were the bills. Never again! If I got one at all, I'd get a hands-free with no camera, if you can find one. You probably need it for your work, but I figure that anyone that needs to call me, can leave a message. Electronic dogleashes. Get even, get a pager!
Ahhhh, I hate cell phones perioud! The $ waisted during work hours with personal use less calls, I could go on and on. I can't count the times I've come "un-glued" with workers WAISTING TIME with there cell phones...I have with a couple workers in the past banned them from having there phone with them while at work or GET OUT! Remember when you had to dial the phone number, the phone was plugged into the wall hard wired? I have and still use my parents phone table and chair with one of there dail phones. The battery ..what battery? Works every time and the best part is when I'm not at home there are no phone calls to bother me I'll admit I bout my wife and daughter cell phones (for safty reasons) but if work did not provide me with one, the hell if I would have one perioud! rant on, rant off
Rock, I'm with you. My cell provider, Telus (smellus we call it) is on my crush and burn list. But we have far fewer options in this country, pay way more for what little we get, and, well, I could go on but it would only be repeating what you said but about a different provider. Oh well...................
I just today got rid of Verizon after 4 very expensive years of phone service. Last year, one of my bills was $1144.00!!! They claimed I used my broadband in Canada, but I wasn't even in Canada! It took me months to get that resolved, if you call halfing the bogus charges resolved! They are bloodsucking insane zombie robots! Going with Straight Talk, so I will have unlimited everything for $45 a month, and it uses, of all things, the Verizon network. For what I've been paying, I figured I could have the best iphone plan available. I thought I might want an iphone, because it seems like such an incredible device, but I checked it out yesterday, and found it so frustrating to use, that I knew it wasn't for me. I would be tied to a pricy 2-year plan, and that phone would be in a million pieces, after being thrown against a brick wall. :banghead3: For me, simple and inexpensive is best. David (not sure what I am going to do for broadband, but it won't be with V!)
What's a matter with 2 tin cans and a string? Small network, but cheaper than landlines even. $32.50 with taxes, and only the Line Check service in that. No Call ID or other such BS.
Once a long time ago I had sprint. Ages ago, but the bills seemed to grow every month. After finishing the contract I quit them. Thought about verizon but ive heard too many horror stories about how expensive they are. Ddidnt get them. I went with Metro for about 2 months and while they brag about the 35 dollar flat rate. For text , no contract, unlimited calls, they never talk about the quality of their service. Damm I lost more calls with them .... Geeze they were a trainwreck ! I went with T-Mobile and still have them now after 5 years. Plus they didnt charge me to buy a newer phone. I gave them my 1st generation Razor and they gave me, yep gave me a new 3G I-Touch phone. Im sure youve seen the ads on Tv for them, Eric Clapton calling Buddy Guy LOL. I wont use any other carrier, im sold on T Mobile
I have Nextel. It's not bad when you get a signal, but where I live there's no towers. So, in my own home its worthless. I also don't get all my calls or all of my messages. Frequently, someone will leave a message, and I won't get it till the next day. My boss hates leaving me a message because he doesn't know if I'll get it!! I get the cheapest phone I can, since I don't download or do any of that fancy stuff. I'm a simple guy, I don't like complicated. Anyone know how to get out of my contract? I have the family plan with 2 phones. I upgraded my phone a while back and had to renew my contract for 2 years. That comes up this August. But, my wife upgraded her phone last year, and it says that her half of the contract expires in 2011. How can they do that if the contract is in my name? She can't renew my contract, can she? How can I have 2 different contract expiration dates?
