So some down south offered me a bag of Cash for the wifes 210 wagon. and it was hard to refuse. But man how we missed that car. I had also just sold one of our other hot rods a little '64 straight axle Chevy II. Well the same night the Chevy II sold , My friend sends me a picture of a '56 Nomad on a trailer going to be sold at the next swap meet. I couldn't get over there fast enough. made an offer and the wagon was ours. Must have been meant to be. This was on Feb 15th and the car was a non runner. Had been sitting for 15 years. It needed a power steering pump and new box, Ignition, Intake and carb, Distributor, Wires, Fuel tank, Lines, and pump. Headers and full exhaust and a lot of other misc. to get road worthy. I have been throwing money at this car like crazy, But the pay off is here and the drive is all worth it. It only took me alttle over two months and a lot of money but here is the wifes new daily driver.
This is when we first seen the car and bought it on a rainy day

    My favorite line from Stripes:
    "Are you gay?"
"No, but I am willing to learn"

Other than I wish you'd kept the Type 1 Rallyes, that is a very nice Nomad. Good to see it was straight and most of the chrome was still on it.

Thanks guys, I just scored another one for my nephew to revive like we did ours. Original owner, Original paint and interior. Put some rallys on for rollers and on the trailer for home.

That will take a little more elbow grease but will look awesome when done.

Man that 58 Chevy looks like it's been sitting in my backyard for ten years. A good pressure wash and some elbow grease should clean it up nice. :yippee:
As for the 56 Nomad, I love those wide whites and chrome wheels. Should have done that to my 55.

    Coincidently, I had both a '56 and 'a 58 Nomad.

    I bought my '58 when I was 15 and my '56 when I was 19.

The '58 looks like it will be a nice project. Looks like a nice solid car.

    The '56 is beautiful.

Where did you find the Chrome Wheels?

I'm an old fan of Chrome Reverse. Even had some on the '56.

Wanted to put some on the '58, but they cost $16 Each back then and at 15 years old, I only made $8 per week delivering Newspapers. Had to settle for Black painted wheels and Chrome Moons, lol.
