HAHAHA, thats awesome. One bad ass caddy, love to see grandpa get in that and jump on it like he does his stock one at home. He would toss out his Viagra, as he wouldn't need it to get a stiffy anymore.
BF I Hate to differ from you but Grandpa would be dumb enough to turn the ac on high when he started to get heated up and do a turtle imitation.
No,my Colony Park is NOT a fast car... The speedo only goes to 85... It rolls way nicer at that speed, than my Taurus does at 85... The Taurus is like a skateboard at 85!.. I had my Dodge Aspen wagon at 95-100 a few times. The speedo went up to 100...Had my 68 Colony Park going 115-120 ONCE! Street racing an early Camaro with 305 or 7 and an automatic in it... Didn't win,but had the Camaro driver worried by keeping up... He later had a 383 and a four speed in it.Top speed in both my Mustang II and VW Bug, was about 75...
Both mine cut off at 109, damn stupid computers But when they cut back in, they will both lay you real hard into the seat. They get there pretty quick for a couple 4500+ lb boats.
I'm just waiting for the day someone hears this from their OnStar system: OnStar: Your vehicle has reported that it is traveling 95 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. The local law enforcement has been notified. Your speeding ticket will arrive by mail within 3 business days. Driver: WTF???
Glad I will not be able to afford a car that is equipped with OnStar and if it was, I sure couldn't afford the subscription.
I've got EZ Pass for both my Colony Park and Taurus X. They sent me a letter last month saying I went through a toll booth too fast, (as I remember it was 37mph), and if they catch me again, they'll suspend my "priviledges" for 6 months. Hmm. I didn't like that too much. I hope they didn't see who I was in the car with.
There have been two court cases involving Onstar in rental vehicles...The rental companies were adding the cost of speeding tickets to the bills. They lost out when it was pointed out that not all cops get to hand out traffic tickets. You have to be a cop trained to hand out speeding tickets,to do so.Detectives can't give you a speeding ticket. They can include evasion as one of the charges against you.It doesn't matter how fast you're going...The OnStar can be activated without you knowing it,while you're driving the vehicle.ALL the info in the onboard computers is available to them.Including how many people are seated in the car,if they have their seatbelts on or not and how fast the vehicle is going. They can even tell if you're in the carpool lane or not(the GPS is accurate to within four feet of your actual position)They cannot really tell if you're in the handicapped spot or not.Unless you're in the middle one of three,I would suppose...
