short story about a station wagon and pigs

    I posted this in the lounge, but thought it would be good to post the link here as well. Its a short story about three guys on their way home from a fishing trip in a brand new station wagon, and they see a sign for pigs for sale for $7 each and decide it will be a great deal for ham and bacon and well...it may not have been such a good idea after all.

    The story "Pigs", is an excerpt from the Patrick McManus book, "Rubber Legs and White Tail Hare".
    "Pigs" starts on page 15 of the book and goes through page 23.

    I challenge you to make it through the story without busting a gut laughing by the last page.

    Reminds me of a story(true) .

    My buddys dad owned Chrysler dealership in the 70"s His demo was a loaded up wagon..after a cross country trip it was time for another and his demo was sold.

    Later it came back through for gas one day and Dean was called to the front.

    His beloved wagon was at the pumps with 3 sheep in the back !

    Sold to a farmer.
