Of course it is not something we do too often..Let go of our treasured wagons..but today is the day for me.

I have been very suprised there has been no feed back here with my 1970 T & C closing on ebay today.

God knows I have anguished over the past few years to sell it, or with limited time and resorses to fix and paint it. It is hard to let go !

Anyone care to comment on what they think is going to happen with my wagon today?

1400 veiws and 48 watchers with 5hrs to go. I know the motor would be pretty much a plug and play for the Mopar Muscle cars but I really hope someone saves the intact wagon.

Share your thoughts if you would.

If you truly drove it at 86,000 feet altitude and have videos it should sell very easily to NASA or the Air Force:)

Otherwise I would have thought it would bring what you are asking.

My advice, from a selling perspective only (not commenting on worth of vehicle), would be to start the bidding at a lower amount, like $1500.00 and then set your reserve at whatever you want to get for it at a minimum. I just checked it and it had about 50 minutes and still no bids, so I think next time you need to lower the starting bid to get more people involved.

I'd also spend a little time cleaning it up - you don't have to detail it but it's a fact clean cars sell faster and for more money.

An old guy told me when I was 16 "It's a lot easier to buy a car than to sell one". I thought at the time that was just something old people said, but now that I'm officially old to a 16 year old I understand what that guy meant. Good luck on the sale.

    Thanks for the feed back

Thank you for the feed back and suggestons. I was still suprised that out of all the watchers no one went at least for the motor.

I agree with just about everything other than....

'''''start the bidding at a lower amount, like $1500.00 and then set your reserve at whatever you want to get for it at a minimum'''''

You know what YOU want, start the bidding at that price. see if it goes anywhere, if is doesn't... well the market has spoken. Our wagons are a hit and miss, this is'nt barret jackson, put your price up front, bid starts at...$,,, Or buy it now @ $. We all have seen toooooo many cars, not just wagons stay for sale for so long because "resurve was not met", that,,, well we joke about them, and they don't sell.

IMO, I love your wagon, love the patina, yet "IF" I was a Ebay buyer, I honestly would not bid....because there is a reserve. Not a buy it now, or no reserve. It's just like seeing ads "for best offer"... I've never replied to one yet......

I agree with you Tedy..Simply selling a car, full discloser and not hiding the problems.

It is what it is and asking for what I want for it. No games, no reserve, no BS..I tried that route. It made the best since to me at th time.

    Thanks for throwing in!

Also Tedy I agree..Price is set ..No Bs..My reserve is now $2800..Disclosed. Sure, disclosing it defeats the purpuse of the reserve.. However now the gruop here has an inside advantage. Least I could do.

And you are right, the market has spoken. I am good with that and I just want to be able to replace it for my needs.
