I stopped by the upholstery shop today to check on my door panels. They are almost done. To my surprise there was another wagon at the shop. A custom low-rider. It was good to see another wagon. I seldom see any.

Nice! Kinda funny he's got a 'Felix Chevrolet' license plate frame and filler cardboard...... Felix is in Los Angeles, near the Memorial Coliseum.

He sure did...I didn't know where it came from. The shop owner says the owner had been trying to finish the wagon for some time. Apparently several shops had worked on it over the past few years. He had chrome plating everywhere and some of it was pealing, so I guess it was not kept out of the weather. Now it has to be redone. Too bad.

Regardless, it's always neat to see another classic wagon out and about.

Is that ostrich on the door panel? Those are a couple of nice cars. Especially that impala. I love that year and color. 64? One of the few cars that I think look best with four doors and a drop top. Even the low riders look darn good. The more chrome the better. And that BLUE!

It depends on the pictures you're PMing him, Ma'am
Judging by what else was done to it, it might be a rival gang member sewn onto the panel's cardboard

Yeah, it's ostrich. I'm struggling with whether to replaced the bench seat with bucket seats. I have some Recaro bucket seats I was gonna install in a Vette. I sold the car when I got the wagon, but kept the seats. I was considering putting them in the wagon BUT they are a little on the narrow side. I can't find any wider bucket seats to install. The seats upholstery is on hold until I make a decision. When I do decide, the seats will be black and peanut butter (ostrich) to match the door panels.

Who cares about the seats? Tell us about the pictures she PMed you. Were they perhaps pictures of her husband's newly discovered secret freezer filled with roastbeef sandwiches?

I ran into another classic car restorer today who says the classic Pontiac seats are what I should be looking for. The Pontiac's wide body is the reason. I'm trying to find manual seats to avoid the headaches of power seats. I really would like to find out what years did Pontiac install bucket seats that recline.
Anyone know what year that would be?
