    A 351 engine?!
    That sacriledge.:(
That car would be shunned like a Honda at a Hell's Angels rally in my neck of the woods.;)
Most Ford street rods don't even have Ford engines.:D

IMHO it looks pretty good as a 4X4.
Why on Earth they put a Chevy body on a Ford chassis is beyond me. :slap:

Man that thing is a beast! I agree that it is kinda cool looking, but I could see Chevy purists just wanting to puke.

    !. Buy Ford-framed/powered '57 Bel Air wagon
    2. Remove body from frame
    3. Install body on new correct '57 chassis / powertrain.

The body and interior are nice. Hey - if you can convert it to a 4x4, you can un-convert it.

Usually I would be spittin nails too but this seems to be uncommonly well done. A cut above the average hatchet job. Beautiful body which is not stacked so high up that you see all of the underpinnings. Good solid drive train with the distributor on the correct end of the engine. What's not to like :162: :hide:

I agree with KK. What is done can be undone.

Yeah, its work, but the body and interior are worth rescuing.

Put this body down onto a nice Chevy frame and drive train, and I'll take the 351 and AOD for Bertha. Make a neat pair of vehicles in my driveway, that's for sure. Love the 57 Bel Air wagon, too. The best looking of all the 57s in my opinion. This one certainly looks well worth the effort to bring back. Love the colour too. Whoever did the paint knew their stuff.

I never thought I'd live to see something like that. That's really stepping over the line and some. There was a time when something like that would have even earned the death penalty in certain wood's necks

What has already been seen cannot get unseen. In fact, if any of my peers ever witnessed anything like that, back then, the butcher dropping Ford mills into classic Chevies can expect to have gotten corrected like this :): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Tpw1ICJEc
