Someone posted a link to RedBubble with the Walley World stickers. I was so impressed, I decided to publish some of my own work. I scanned in a photo I had of the old Rusty Jones sticker and started digitally repairing it:

Remember the Man with the Mustache who promised to keep your car free of rust and corrosion? Remember seeing his face on nearly every rusted out Japanese car in America in the 80s? There’s a reason they went out of business…
Most people just wanted the sticker with that dapper example of manhood gracing their car window… well, now you can have it again in 2012!

This one is a higher resolution one with more color.

Got to say I've never heard of 'Rusty Jones'. Probably because I'm from California......

They went out of business in 1988. Very common on MANY cars in New England in the 80s... The stickers on cars disintegrated in a very funny way (see first picture)

Funny you should mention that there was a reason that they went out of business. Must be a difference between franchise owners. When I had my car lot and was buying cars at the dealer auctions I noticed that the cars that had that sticker on them had considerably less rust than most other cars of the same vintage. Just a quirky thing that I noticed back then when I had bought some of those cars. I remember mentioning it to a fellow lot owner. Your post brought back that memory.:D

We are from central Illinois. There were several different companies with locations nearby. I vaguely remember this one. All of those early type decals never lasted long in the weather. Maybe as long as the undercoated cars and trucks that had them.
One of my favorite decals is the one still on our old wagon. Got it while over there at car shows and cruise nights.---Porkys diner in Des Moines. (y)

I worked in a body shop in the mid 70s one of my jobs was to apply Rusty Jones. The stuff worked what caused failures was the application. If you did not ensure coverage then it was left unprotected. I did my mother's new 1976 Vega Wagon. It got traded in in 1984 with nary a rust mark and we lived in Pittsburgh.

I worked in a glass shop in the early 80s, the stuff was like glue. We would dread when a car came in with a Rusty Jones sticker and broken door glass. My boss said if he ever met Rusty Jones he would kill him.
