I found the best stuff to use on the vinyl, plastic, and of course the woodgrain on our long roofs.
Aerospace 303 protects against harmful uv rays, it takes some of the gray haze off the woodgrain, if it's sun burnt there's nothing you can do there.
It's also good on those vintage dashes, don't let them get cracked, use this stuff! It makes them nice, shiny and new looking! It's great on old vinyl seats, and plastic trim.

Very expensive, but works great. I first heard about it being used on boats where they have water and sun on the upholstery all of the time. Unlike other protectants, this won't make your plastic or vinyl hard and brown over time. Worth every penny.

Armor-All doesn't protect anything, it just makes it "shiny and clean" and it will dry out the vinyl worse than the Mohave desert, great when you're selling the car I guess... Aerospace 303 is designed to protect vinyl, plastic, and things like that. It was originally designed for marine use, and aeronautics I do believe... much better stuff, worth the price!
