    Hi all,

I'm looking for some help in finding what other cars and years had a similar switch.

I have a 1981 Pontiac Bonneville Safari that has the power sideview mirrors. Both of the switches have lost functionality on of the the four axis. (up, down, left, right)

I've finally been able to track down the actual GM part number. Unfortunately, this was a fairly rare option for the year/car, and, as usual with this era parts, no replacements exist.

My question is, were there any other cars in any other years that had the same post style power mirror adjustment, that I could possibly make work with mine?

One option I have is to buy the whole mirror and wiring assembly, like listed here, but if I can find just the switch, I'd rather do that.

GM part list. Switch is #7
It says it is on a Chevy Caprice, but what years should I be searching?

    Thanks!

Through some random searching I also see it fitting a '82-'84 Buick Century and '85-'91 as well.

I think the part number you have listed is just the switch and not the bezel as well. Here is a switch allegedly from a 89-96 Buick Century. It has a black knob though and it looks like it is held in place with a set screw.

    Awesome Thank you!

I knew that there had to be a bunch of GM cars that had a similar switch, I just couldn't figure out how to find them all. 89-96 buick Centuries will also be much more common in junk yards than an 81 Pontiac!

Sorry, can't help you on this one. Mine's a cable remote on the left, and 'remoteless' on the right. LOL

In this computer age, do they still make Hollanders interchange manuals?
