    This pic has been circulating for years. There's a companion shot showing it from the rear....

    That's Morro Rock in the distance, so the location is Morro Bay, CA, just south of the town (and the rock...)

    The story goes that supposedly a storm had uncovered the derelict wagon (a full-size '64 Pontiac - some say Catalina Safari, some say Bonneville Safari, but the interior trim that's seemingly almost brand-new matches pretty close to the Catalina trim in the brochure.

    The kids took dad's wagon out for a joyride and got it stuck in the sand. LOL. Told dad it was stolen. That's the story I imagined.
