I haven't been here for sometime. But life takes many turns and I am back. I have finally gotten my 50 Plymouth wagon on the road this past mid July.It is chopped 4 inches and hood is louvered. Also had a good friend who has a auto glass shop here in town do my widows in a smoke. It has and Heidts independent rear, Fatman front end with MS2 suspension. A small block Mopar with 727 auto. I built the dash and console and am still in the middle of doing the interior. But the main thing is it is insured and tagged and has been to a few shows.
You're excused. Looks like you've really been busy and the wagon looks great. As I often repeat, my first car was a 1949 Dodge Coronet coupe. As much as I dream about it I can't believe I never bought another and built a custom. I'll just dream about yours. Nice!
Hope to see you AND THE '50 the 2nd weekend of July for Chryslers at Carlisle:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:2_thumbs_up_-_anima Dam you got serious didn't you
Absolutely awesome wagon. I looked at a '51 Plymouth years ago. I've always loved that body style. It looks right with the chopped top. Is that a Jag rear end with the inboard disc brakes?
Longroof...............it is a Heidts rear which is a takeoff on the jag and it does have inboard discs. Also...........thanks for the kind words everyone......much appreciated.
hot rod.............kudos right back to you..............that Ford is one very nice piece. We all know the time and $$$$ it takes to do one of these old wagons and you did a really nice job.............I like it a lot.
Very, very impressive... There are so many talented craftsmen on this site. You've done an awesome job so far, I'm really looking froward to seeing the interior.
Wow, incredible job. Absolutely gorgeous wagon; I'll bet it gets tons of attention at the shows. Nice, really nice.
