As promised, here are photos of the 1966 Country Squire I purchased from a neighbor. He has a Ranch Wagon that is perfect. I will tow a vintage trailer and vintage boat. They will look quite nice behind this old ford.
Love the wagon, the Silver Streak and the boat. I had a '58 Silver Streak I sold when I bought my '51 Airstream which we tow behind our '57 Safari wagon. A buddy has the almost twin to your trailer, a '47 Curtis-Wright, which by '48 was called Silver Streak. Another friend just passed away. He had a '57 Nomad and had a '48 Airstream Clipper - again basically a twin to yours. His widow is going to sell it fairly soon. It is in need of a full resto. That trailer is gorgeous. Nicely polished. Have you done the work? I'm sure you will need a big stick to keep people away from both the wagon and the trailer when you go touring.
shiny...very shine...glad the sun wasn't on it when you took the picture... You will never get any peace when your on vacation with that fine looking trio...very nice.
Thanks for the nice comments, I have restored around 20 trailers over the years. If you wind up with your friends trailer I can guide you on restoration process. I do everything except the upholstery and boat engine.
Thanks Richard. I have done a few trailer restorations myself. My next one will be a 59 to 64 Tradewind, if I do another, or I might do another SOB (some other brand) if the right one comes along that my wife and I can get excited about. My late friends '48trailer is not a whole lot different in size than my Flying Cloud so it will go to a new home, once she puts it up for sale.
geez Rich...are you the heir to the AUTOSOL fortune??.... do tell...what is the boat?....thats a stylish lookin raft oh...goes without saying...the wagons a beaut!!
Thats a rad wagon, but even COOLER boat! What year/make is it. And is that beautiful Johnson outboard on there? What year is THAT? Looks nicely restored. I'm into vintage boats too. Here is my '61 Chris Craft Ski Boat; I also have a '60 Sangstercraft with a '68 50hp Merc on the back of it, that I picked up with the Rev, and then adopted as my own. It's coming along with it's upgrading.
I drove old wooden Chris Crafts all over many Wisconsin lakes in my time. They were the Cadillac of boats in their day!
