Drove though the local Dodge dealer today and found this little tick-tack of a Smart Car in the used car section. I had the camera with so it was a perfect photo opportunity. That smart car is about just as long as my Parisienne is wide! I would hate to be in any kind of a car accident in a smart car.

There's one in town here and I often meet up with him at the stoplites, and he has the audacity to shake his head at ME in disapproval, it should so be the other way around!

They Started out real strong here until all those problems with them started popping up. One is that you are limited to where you can drive them here.

I saw a smart car on the interstate one evening. The driver looked petrified. I am guessing he had waited for a time of light traffic to see how it would do on the highway, and he had a look on his face that told it all. I imagine he felt the wind from every decent sized vehicle going past him.

Hey wait. If the Parisienne had a roof like a Studebaker Wagonaire then the Smart would fit in the back. Or, just cut the roof off the Smart.:162: Ooops, there I go with roof cutting again.

There was a professor at Western IL that had one for awhile. I had parked to get my financial aid paper worked out, his car was next to mine when I came out (sorry no pictures).

He came out seconds after I did. He came up, laughed said something along the lines of his cars are becoming the norm and cars like mine should be pushed into history faster. Of course I defended "Aunt Edna" my '77 Country Squire. I snapped back at him with this:

"You might think your ahead of the curve by buying a bulked up golf cart but I hit a deer at 60mph with my wagon. Me, my German Shepard, and all my gear where safe and sound. We also drove off, while the deer was in a better place. Also, sure you get 35 MPG, but my '04 Mustang V-6 gets 32 MPG on the average and I still drive something thats cool, can place goods in the trunk and put my dog in the back seat. Besides that, when I tell college girls I drive a Mustang, I would not have to go home alone. Good day sir"

And I got in and drove off. I don't really care if people want to drive something unique but when it gets pushed in my face what I should drive, I'm not gona take it.
