It's been a while since I visited here. I noticed my last post was in 2016! Joined up when this forum was first started. Still have a project '78 Fairmont with a hopped up straight six. Now has an 8.8 and subframe connectors etc. Interior is basically gutted except for the front seats so I can still go out and bomb around. Guess I'll browse around and see what's new!
It's a GREAT day today! FANTASTIC to hear from BOTH Handy Andy and Stormin' Norman! Welcome back, boys! I'll give you the reader's digest on what I've been doing.... - The 'Way-Back Machine' ('81 Bonneville Safari) was sold back in October. I bought a compact-sized truck to replace it, a '06 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. Still living in the same house, with the same wife. And........ I'm a grandpa, as of October 1, 2017. Little tyke is right here in town, so I get to see her a lot. Currently working a master bathroom 1/2 remodel project - new counter top and sinks, new lighting, and stacked stone going up the wall behind the counter top. Lighting went in yesterday. Counter top/sinks are next Wednesday, THEN, I get started with the stone......have to pull down the drywall and put up cement board.
Yeah! We're like a 'Mutt and Jeff' act. Congrats Grandad! She's in the post-traumatic Terrible-Twos age. Yeah, I finished the top floor renos, added a bedroom nd bathroom up there. Now I'm working on the main floor and drywall. I'll be installing new basement stairs over the winter. And finally, real cooler pantry, in the Spring. I did all the roughing-in (plumbing and wiring a couple years ago, so its just the envelope and kitchen cabinets left. Thanks for tweaking us back in the family.
