Hello, I'm an old stationwagon.com member that recently found this forum. I'm glad someone finally started a new means for wagoneers to chat. The yahoo group was getting a bit cumbersome. My past wagons include a beautiful '73 Chrysler T&C, a '72 and '73 Olds Custom Cruiser and an '88 Buick Estate wagon. I'm wagonless now but still a fan. If I were to start looking for another wagon, I'd certainly die for an excellent '73-77 Colony Park. sigh......those are more rare that the 71-76 Custom Cruisers! -Bill Dallas, TX
to the wagon train, BLDFW! Hey...you had some nice wagons....especially the one that's now in Belgium! Hope you find another one that you are looking for.
Welcome to the forum, Bill. One question - Why did you let that beautiful Custom Cruiser Clamshell go?
Welcome Bill! Can someone fill me in on this beautiful clamshell? Maybe a , if it is not too painfull?
Hey Bill, Welcome to the group! I had the pleasure of seeing your lovely '72 Custon Cruiser in person, and thought it was an amazingly nice example. You must have had a great time with it, and probably have many stories associated with it's restoration and care. Glad you found us! David
Thanks. I had this wagon for about 8-9 years (wow). I started it's restoration shortly after I got it but worked on it in earnest in late 2003 finishing in time for a May 2004 car show. It was and is a great car and I enjoyed driving it. She was absolutely rock solid on the freeway. I enjoyed my time with her but as with all good things there comes a time to move on. I had bought and was restoring a 70 vintage Evinrude boat and felt that it was time to start letting cars go and simplify my life. Cars can get expensive just sitting and not being used. I'm down to my '71 Mark III and a '72 Gremlin that is in the midst of a stalled restoration process. Right now it's just a painted shell. One of these days I'm going to regain my enthusiasm and finish it. -Bill Dallas, TX
Really? Was is at the Dallas show? I did have fun with it and enjoyed my time with her. -Bill Dallas, TX
