Check out my co-workers "new" '73 Corvette Ragtop. It needs some work but it's hard to beat a red-over-black Corvette convertible with a 350 and a 4spd. Neat toy!

    Um... that's not a '73, sir.

1972 was the last year for chrome bumpers.

It's a '73....oddball year, had the chrome rear bumper but soft front bumper. I told him he should put Mutt on his license plate.

Really? That's very very odd. I'd never heard of that.

    TIL.

    Yep; it's a 73.
Colored front fascia and split chrome rear bumpers.

    Well then.

Mike, I'm surprised you didn't clean his white letters when you parked next to him. :p

Nice car, but I prefer the white one beside it! Room for the dogs in that one. Those Vettes are nice, but no dog room. If I were going for one, though, I'd go for the 71 or 72. I just prefer the chrome front bumper.

Sold our 72 454/auto convert a few years ago. Nice on sunny days, got to the point though that I had trouble getting out of it :slap:

They are nice cars, fun as toys, neat Christmas gift for sure. Your friend is very fortunate. And with clean white letters on his tires he'll feel so much better about it

Yep 73. Last year for part of a chrome bumper Vette. Loved the 72 and older. Altho the 72's had a crappy cheap interior. Love chrome. But had a 77 coupe too. Don't remember any chrome on that plastic nose and duck's butt. :biglaugh:
