Ran over to Half Price Books over lunch and picked up the Best of Steely Dan for $3.

Showing my age and all, but "FM" sounded awesome on my stock '96 Roady wagon CD radio just now. ;)

Also got behind this beast on the way back to work. Don't know if it's a project or a parts car, but love to see old stuff on the move!

And yes it's raining here in Texas today.....man we need it!

Damn I love that album!! Is that a 69 or 70 Challenger? Look like a pontiac earlier but looking again the grill is wrong. Winshield and "A" pillars look mopar.

Music is a powerful force - a song can transport you back in time. "FM" transports me right back to high school when I was working at the Octopus Car Wash in Tucson, AZ. Life was good - I had a good time at the car wash; worked my way up from the vacuum line to driving the cars onto the roller track that pulled the cars through the wash. Got to drive a lot of different cars back then. I hear Steely Dan and think about when the funeral home brought the hearses in for a wash. I'd get the hearse on the rollers, then jump in the back and lay down and scare the crew at the other end who were drying cars. Big fun back then! Oh, to be 17 again!

I love Steely Dan. Wife just doesn't get them.....

Saw them real early in their career at a taping of the 'Midnight Special' I went to......around 1971 or so....

Wouldn't be surprised if I were, but I wasn't known as Mr. Suave then....and now.

Suave is pronounced "s-w-av" per the Barney Fife diction guide by the way. For those that needed to know. :p
