We had one of the earlier VW squareback wagons. I forgot what year because I try to wipe bad thoughts out of my mind. It was only a few months old when we got it. Now I figured out why the first owner traded it in at the VW dealer. I spent more time sitting in the dealership shop waiting room than driving it! There's a story here somewhere about it. I actually like early VW beetles. Had a few of those and loved them.
