I popped into a secondhand shop last week and saw an almost shiny-new industrial grade Bostik ThermoGrip Glue gun - $3.50. Yeah, glue guns are really cool tools! It's fun to try out all those neat adhesive sticks, but my better half took it away from me when I glued the cat to the wall and now I'm not allowed to play with it any more.
hahaha! I used them in my packaging line when I had my clock company, back in the early 80s, but I never thought about them relative to cars. Now I do. I like your idea. Catgut made great violin strings, and I'll bet it makes good glue too. Very Crafty. Cat Nip and Stuck Franchises, yippee!
This gun I got - Bostik model 260, takes the 1/2" diameter sticks 4" or 10" and heats up to 160 watts! Most are at 40 or 80. That means I can use the real mean glues and almost epoxy-like glues. Sure gonna make cabinet-making dowel jobs easy. Reduces clamping to almost zero. I've got 40' of upper and lower kitchen cabinets to build.
