Just found this forum while searching for parts for my car. See ad in the parts wanted section. I have a 1965 olds vista cruiser. it was lowered 2" front and back, 17" americans, '71 grandprix front disc brakes, olds 350/350 combo with flow master exhaust, GM torch red paint, custom black and grey interior, vintage air A/C. Drive it most of the summer now time to redo it. The rear axle flange broke off on the last road trip and took out the quarter panel and spare tire well. It tweaked the whole back half of the car but I am pretty sure once all the twisted metal is cut out it should come back pretty easy. Just wanted to say hi and I will definately be looking around.
Welcome aboard! Glad you found us. Hopefully you'll find the parts and help you require. Great car!!!
Welcome aboard! Great looking wagon - keep us posted on the fix progress. Bet that scared the $#!t out of you when it happened...were you able to get it to the side of the road or was it moved there?
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home. Great wagon. I'm sure that somewhere around here we can help find the parts to bring the old girl back to rights. Must have been terrifying when that happened. I'm glad nobody was hurt, though. Enjoy your stay. Set awhile and make yourself to home.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I found a new to me rearend in chicago so I was able to get a new axle in it for the time being so it is no longer a tripod. It was a pretty wild ride but we were able to skid on over to the should without incident. still not sure how that happened but so glad it did. I will start a new thread here on the forum when I start the repairs. For now just collecting parts and will probably start with just rebuilding the rearend with new Dutchman Axles.
