Hey guys my name is Dylan and i am new around here. I dont have a wagon yet but might be looking at one here soon. I am going to try to look at a 69 chevy kingswood. the wagon has been sitting for 5 years but he said it ran he parked it. I am really trying to find out if parts a hard to come by for these cars or not
I'm sure it did. Good luck with your new/old wagon. In due course others will be along to give you a few suggestions with starting an engine that has been sitting for awhile. Welcome to the site, glad you found us.
Yea I am mechanically inclined I am going to first check and see if the motor will spin over with a ratchet and a socket and then go from there.
You got it! Welcome to the forum. I'd say you found a great resource for parts here. That and any other information on that car you might need. When you go to look at it, bring a camera to take pictures! Some us ain't real good with words! Also bring a can of gas!!
and good luck. A lot depends on the condition of the body and interior. There are good used GM engines and running gear everywhere. Lots of good parts go bad in five years so plan on new brake and fuel lines , hoses, plus brakes and maybe a radiator. All cheap parts.
Welcome aboard. I think you will find that there are numerous parts available for that particular car, but there are bound to be station wagon specific pieces that are hard to locate. Good luck and keep us updated on how things go.
