I discovered this forum well web surfing this evening looking for a source for woodgrain. I have two 67 Vista Cruisers (one running, one not), but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for station wagons and cool cars in general. I was looking for 66-67 Olds F-85 a few years ago when I came across my first VC. I bought the second one for spare parts, but it was in such good condition I couldn't part it out (pics links below). I'm thinking about turning it into a racer. http://picasaweb.google.com/Vista67/AquaVista# Adrian
Adrian I agree ,that Vista is to nice to part out. I'd think twice before making a racer out of it . What does your other one look like?My 67 is aquamarine with white top and turquoise interior. It needs alot of metal work around the rear side windows and skylights but its worth saving. If you have any Vista only parts for sale let me know and good luck with yours. Tony
Nice Cruizer. Definately a fixer and worth keeping. Those are better looking than the later 68 and ups. I'm jealous.
My driver is much nicer. I've upgraded the suspension & brakes with Global West, KYB, Edelbrock, Centerline, and Wilwood components. I've been too busy with other projects to get to the driveline, exterior, and interior yet. http://picasaweb.google.com/Vista67/67VistaCruiser#
I forgot to respond to your question about parts. I have a few things (some trim pieces, spare rear axle shaft for O-type, steering column). What are you looking for?
Adrian ,I need the metal part that goes on the cargo floor between the hidden compartment and left wheelwell. It has a piece of the heavy vinyl on it like the floor. Also looking for the cardboard pieces that go on the sides of cargo area, just looking for patterns.Your gold Vista looks very nice. Saw a gold 442 with Super Stocks and redlines at Charlotte Autofair, very nice color combo. Tony
I can't help you with the metal piece. I recently removed the pieces inside the compartment because they had gotten soaked. There may be some in the aqua VC, but I haven't seen the inside of that car's compartment because the rear window motor isn't working. If I find some when I get around to messing with that, I make you some templates.
Howdy, neighbor. I used to live in Interlachen and work in Gville. When I was In high school I worked for King Oldsmobile in Jacksonville and washed hundreds of '68- 72 VCs and other Olds cars. I didn't even know there WAS a vista in '67. Your cars are worth preserving for many reasons. Glad they found a good home. Welcome to this forum.
