Hi, My name is Bill Miller I am in Everett Washington, This weekend, I picked up a 1971 Ford Galaxie 500 Country Sedan Station Wagon for $200 with a 400 and a C-6 with a heavy duty trailer tow package. It was going to get hauled away for scrap since it had been parked on a side street for two years, The previous owners couldn't get it to start. I'm glad I asked about it when I saw it. It started right up after replacing the ignition coil and giving it a jump start. I also own a 1970 Ford Torino GT with a 351C and Tremec TKO 5speed and a 1969 Mercury Marquis Convertible with a 429-4V,C-6. Here are some pictures of the car still on the trailer.
Bill. That's a darn nice looking wagon for that price. A little soap and water and it'll look like new. How come I never find those deals?
$200?!! What a deal. That wagon looks to be in fine shape; I couldn't see any rust at all on it. Is that the case or is it just that the pictures don't show it? I'll bet with some soap, water and wax, it won't look like the same car. Best of luck with it. Ya done good!
Wow nice find! Especially since you're already a Ford guy. Sure beats the $500 Capri Norm and I looked at...
Hey Bill! and congratulations on your new'71! What a great find! So glad you saved this wonderful wagon! Way to go! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima David
That car is clean, straight, and gorgeous! Scrap heap? Thanks for saving it. According to the Old Cars Price Guide, a 1971 Ford Galaxie 500 station wagon in good running condition is worth a little over $2000, and you got it for 1/10th of that. Excellent.
NO KIDDIN !!!....i missed one???....dam Bill...impressive collection my Ford'd freind !! thats one h--l of a score...very impressive so what the plans for her? and when do we get to see the rest of the fleet?
Thanks for the Welcome into the Forum, I'm not sure what the plans are for the wagon, it needs a little work, but the 400 seems to run pretty good, We might pull our vintage trailer that we are restoring, a 22' 1967 Boles-Aero. I just tore out all of the carpet, it was soaking wet due to bad window seals, luckily the floor boards aren't rusted out. I'm still in the "discovery" mode with it and making a list of repairs I need to accomplish to drive it around. Here are pictures of My 1970 Torino GT, 1969 Mercury Marquis Convertible and Boles-Aero Trailer. Thanks, Bill
