Hey everyone new to the forum. Have had my 64 sport wagon for 3 years now, starting to get into the online scene. Bought a complete parts car a few month back as well. Everyone knows what that means. Happy to be here in the community.
Welcome aboard! Post some photos of your car (we love photos) and tell us a little more about yourself, the wagon, what you plan to do with it... Ya know, fun stuff like that.
You got it! My name is Russell and I’ve been a car nut my entire life. I’ve owned many cars an a couple wagons before this one but now I’m responsible and old enough to actually care for and complete a project. I am a auto tech of 15 years, starting with British (cue sobs and witty remarks) and then transitioning to American, specializing in custom builds and restorations. I bought my 64 wagon and it had some rot in the frame rails (minor), so when I found my other one with a perfect frame I decided it was a perfect candidate for me to build up a rolling chassis and then do a frame swap, complete with an posi, new lines etc. So that’s basically my plan. I’ll see how much of it I get done before I die. I’m 33. Stay tuned......
Wow, it looks beautiful from here. Where are you located Russell? I'm trying to decide if that is a B.C. license plate or not.
Swell! I bet it's beautiful up there. There's another member here that lives on the island. Goes by Fat Tedy.
Awesome! I’ll have to get in touch with him, as I will be new to the whole area. When I start my project (once I get settled) I’ll start a project thread. Thanks for the welcome!
I usually ignore all warnings. Yes, I've peed on electric fences and swam with sharks and gators! If you live as long as I have so far, you might just get that wagon finished. Good luck.
