Hey everyone, new to the forum and wanted to say hi. I have a 1960 commuter that I have been trying to get back on the road. I found it in a barn in Connecticut where it sat since 1975-ish. Im sure I will be looking for parts as the journey continues so if you know of any good locations to find parts, please send them over. Hope everyone has a good day!

To Downunder David , looks like your one lucky Fella as I have just finished a full resto on pink bits and with in the next few days will be posting some more pics . So any assistance you may need I am happy to help and you have an electric back glass (option) . Looking forward to some pics of your Longroof when it suits
I look forward to seeing the progress of your build! I did floor pans and drivers rocker over the last couple of weeks. getting ready to dynomat the floors and install the new red carpet. Next up is quarter panels. I found them somewhere out in the midwest. Im afraid that the inners are pretty rotten as well, no luck locating replacements. As the fuel tank was rotten when I found the car, I tried to locate a direct replacement and got nowhere. Ended up going with a similar in size fuel however I am having issues getting fuel to the carb now. The old tank had the feed at the bottom of the tank as im sure you know. The fuel cell has a pick up that comes out of the top of the tank. Im afraid that the mechanical pump does not have enough suction to pull the fuel up the pipe and to the front of the car. Once I get it running it runs well but it takes a lot of pedal pumping to get it going. Thinking about doing an inline low pressure electric pump with regulator and updating the carburetor. Trying to keep it as factory original as possible, but having a heck of a time with parts.
Hi David! I`m happy to see you find The Wagon Of The Wagons. From all sides it got the good looks. I don`t have the time nor the patience/ experience with all the work like you. I`m sure this will be show-stopper with patina. So keep the streets of New York beautiful! -Kim
