I recently inherited my fathers 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II Station Wagon. He had become tired of storing it and no longer drove it himself. So instead of waiting around and letting it rot he passed it on to me. He had owned the vehicle since 1969. I drove it for two summers in high school/college when I was back home and without a vehicle. I have many fond memories of riding in the back rumble seat and drive-in movies! As I am now caretaker of the family wagon I thought I would join here and document the restoration and upkeep. Plus I was hoping to mine the vast knowledge here on all things "wagon". As it seems most of the MOPAR world is left scratching their heads when they see the wagon.
Restoration? It looks great just the way it is. If that's the original paint, please try to save it. It looks like a nice survivor. By the way, your 67 Belvedere II wagon is the only one I've ever seen, besides mine, that had the wheel lip moldings that were standard on all other Belvedere II body styles.
When people ask me if my 67 Country Sedan was my grandfathers I reluctantly say no. What a great story you have! Way to keep it in the family. :banana:

I agree with Jim 68Cuda.........I get asked that all the time, if I'm the original owner, on any of my cars.......... That's a GOOD LOOKIN' wagon you got there.....what do your restoration plans include? wash and wax? I can't see where it needs anything but driven.
I hate when that happens to me. I used to say "yeah, most 7 year olds bought a new car back in the day" but now I just laugh. If I look THAT old can you imagine how old CAT must look? Or Tedy? Or REV? I look like a kid compared to them Oh yeah, as for the inherited wagon - oh boy, you got yourself a really nice wagon to enjoy. You are so fortunate, most of us have had to hunt for one and seldom have any history to go with it. Welcome to the forums, glad you found it.
