Were you going to use E0 gas for winter storage? I'd highly recommend it, especially in a car of this vintage. While I'm on the subject, I'm not sure how well the 70 - 76 GMs take to E10 without modification or if modification's even necessary to run them. I'm just familiar with E10 wasting one of my lawnmowers, partly because of its short shelf life causing the engine to gum up. If I'd have known about the water injection technique then, that could have saved the mower for another year.

All cars can run E10 without updating/modification. But, the fuel filter needs to be changed two or three times within 10K miles to trap loosened gunk from the gas tank.

Shoot, I remember when people were wringing their hands because the Fed's removed lead from fuel. There was fear that all of the older vehicles would just stop running if they had to use unleaded.
    Didn't happen.

I've personally disassembled 'leaded' engines and compared them to unleaded engines from the carburetor era. The seat/valve wear itself was just about the same, but more instances of burned valves (due to no EGR valve present).

I've been running unleaded gas in the Fury since it was phased out. Still running like a top.
I have even heard stories that the lead was phased out long before they told anyone, they just added a dye to the fuel to look the same.

Well, they didn't remove it, per se, they just kept lowering the concentration until Tetraethyl Lead was banned in the early-to-mid '90s. The majority of cars running on leaded regular were still fairly high in 1980, but as they began really dwindling over that decade, California made their ban date in 1992, and Federally, it was banned Jan 1st, 1996.
