Not so long ago, I found in the attic a wooden garage, made by my grandfather for me. I was only two when he died, so you understand it has a special meaning for me. Anyway, it was filled with cars and I gave it to my 3 and a half year son to play with. I just discovered one of it is probably my first wagon I ever owned: a 1965 (?) Mercury Collony Park form Matchbox. I know it is a bit battered but I do remember the dogs so well....
In Mexico, they have a beautiful song called "Mexico en la piel". Looks like Ford is in your DNA. Neat story Senri. Thanks.
Here you go Norm...unfortunely this year when Luis Miguel came to Dallas he only sang his most recent songs....good show none the less. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbaT5CIC8-8"]YouTube - Luis Miguel "México en la Piel"[/ame] I used to have a green station wagon just like this one when I was a kid, Senri. Oh, to be young again...
Have you seen the Xcaret version? They only offer it on DVD after the show, on the evening that you attend. LM's is well done, and really grabs your soul, but this one is Awesome! http://www.xcaret-tickets.com/
It could well be, although I thought myself more as a Chrysler man (if I really have to name one...). Funny thing is that a 65 Colony Park woody is for sale overhere (full scale)!
Nice song! LM was famous in Italy when he was young. He even participated in San Remo, which is very big italian song contest. I don't know if he lived there and went back later. I seriously considered this Colony Park. It is pretty clean, very thin on lacquer, but this is actually what concern me most. At least it is a sign it will probably be more of a project then a driver......
The little red wagon is a 1968 Mercury. The lack of woodie makes it a Commuter. They came with 289's standard. The 390 and 250 cid Mileage Maker Six were the options. The doggies in the back make it more precious than gold.
White Mercury Commuter police car I have the police car version of this. It is white with two red "gum ball" lights on top. It used to have a police sticker on the hood, long gone.
