A few months ago I had to take the sign down where you turn in to service at work. The dealership began as a GM dealer in the early '80's so it was a double sided sign that would light up and over the years the other 2 dealerships just put a vinyl wrap over the Gm sign. They decided to get new panels and so I decided to try to remove the vinyl from them the other day since I just couldn't seem to throw them away like they said for me to and after a few hours one of the panels looked good. My boss asked if he could have one since they cleaned up so well and I figured since they were his to begin with I let him have one side. Yesterday my dad and I decided to incase the sign in a wood frame and put a light in it, guess when my boss sees it we will have to do his for him...Undecided on the frame not sure if I am gonna stain it or paint it either red, white or blue. Here is a picture of it, cant wait to hang it on front of the garage!:D

Dark stain would look better than paint.

May have to give it a try, wasn't sure yesterday so just left it the natural wood.

I'd go a dark stain and then a bees wax finish rubbed in to a low-lustre sheen. Would look like a custom piece of cabinet making, too. Looks wonderful! Of course, looking that good you may want in IN the garage, not outside!

Put it on the OUTSIDE of the garage where people can see it. Especially lost station wagon members wandering thru your neighborhood!:rofl2:

I found out you can't get too many points. If you're like me, you'll need them for all the others you loose later. :slap:

Did they find the criminal among you guys?

I was told one "Oh s@#t!" cost 20 'atta boys. So I am not sure if I am good yet! :rofl2:

They haven't said anymore about the theft...sometimes I wonder if they really want to know, sad but since I have been working at a dealership I have learned to keep one eye on most people and one hand on my wallet! :D
