    I'm just bumed out.....

Tara, we met when I was 15, she was 13 and became friends, just that...good friends. I ended up dating her sister who is my my daughters Mom. All through the years we still remained close good friends, she even has picked gravel out of my @zz after a big time mountain bike crash:oops:.

I found her, her fisrt car witch a year later she gave to me when she could aford something "sporty".... That car was my first wagon, a tan on tan Fairmont.

Shared keys to each others homes, cars...take my bank card full trust friends both ways, don't date him and I got the don't date her stuff

We even became bussiness partners.....Tara, Deb, and I bout the house we live in together back in 2000, knowing that Deb and I will buy her out in a couple years and we did. The deal got all 3 of us unto the housing market. Tara stayed for many more years as our tenant till she moved and bout her own place.

    She is my family.....

I just got the news that Tara has breast cancer and starts treatment next week.:(

Although that's bad news, it's not necessarily a death sentence any more. Cancer treatment has gotten much, much better in recent years..........I know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 4 years ago. I still see my oncologist every 2 weeks, I still do chemo treatments (have one this afternoon, in fact) but they keep me healthy and able to function. With proper treatment, and lots of prayers, a good attitude, she'll be around for a good long time.

:162:*Sending warm wishes and prayers for Tara*

I'm sorry this has happened. Hopefully, they caught it very early and she'll make a full recovery.

With your history with her as family...and yes, I believe that's what you are, as well...clearly she has a strong support system. That's important.

Don't feel bad in recognizing your own feelings about this. Cancer is dreadful and affects not only the person with it, but those around them, as well. Take some time to exercise self-care, pal.

I'm a firm believer in prayer and positive thinking when it comes to serious medical conditions like this. I've seen some miracles. I'll send up some prayers for Tara.

Hi Tedy, sorry to hear about Tara. She sounds like an awesome friend. I'm sure when you get to see her face to face you may be amazed with yourself at how well you'll just be there for her.
I know you hear lots of bad results from this kind of cancer but there are so many more great out comes. She is still young and I'm guessing healthy there is no reason to believe she won't get through this. She will need you and Deb continue being her friend and support her through this.
Hey you can do this for her. Keep us posted.:)

Tedy - sad news. Breast cancer, and many cancers, can be treated successfully, and more successes are happening every day.

We just had dinner tonight with a friend who started breast cancer treatments 18 months ago. She had a couple of set backs along the way but she is very strong emotionally. She believes firmly in prayer and positive action. I am delighted to say that she is cancer free today. She surrounded herself with those of us who believed firmly that she would kick butt, people she knew would keep her spirits up when needed, and would keep her in their prayers through the entire process. Several of us had been down the cancer path and we know how important it is to keep the positive energy flowing and to never ever let her think that we did not think she could overcome it. She mentions that - how much it helped to have every one in "the group" convinced that she could do this. We are very proud of her and we send thank you prayers often.

Chin up buddy, Show her you know she can get through this. We'll be providing the back up prayers and positive thoughts for her, and the rest of you. You guys are also going to be taking a hit on this.

Tedy: Prayers are already on the way up for Tara as well as for you. Keep looking forward and be positive. We, your wagon family, are always here for you for those times when you need some support. Most importantly, have faith! Believe that Tara will make it through and be fine. Be strong for Tara but remember there will be times that YOU need support to do so. Lean on those around you who care. We will not let you fall.

Hugs coming your way for you, Debs, Tara and who ever else needs them. The kids send snuggles and licks your way too. (That would be Effie and Hurley the beagles)
