Hope everyone is OK up you guys way. Looks like a pretty nasty one and it is continuing East. Just heard from my DIL and she says they are OK.

Peoria area got slammed pretty hard. Hope Cat's friends and relatives are OK.

It came thru here around 3am this morning but we only had heavy thunderstorms and high winds that passed on by 9am.

Thanks. S.E of Peoria where our friends and kids are, Pekin,Illinos, got an F-1 with damage around town. Kids said mostly high winds and lots of rain. This was around Noon to 3PM from what I heard.
Here in NW Florida it was near 90 and sunny again. A great summer and Fall.
Update. Daughter said several homes around Pekin were damaged and the McD's north of town destroyed, as well as damage to Hardee's and other places.

Cat, I'm glad your friends and family are ok.

(On an amusingish side note: I don't pay a lot of attention to the news. So my wife was amazed when I knew anything about the storm. Thanks SWF members for keeping me in the loop to the world outside my own bubble.)

Nothing all that unusual about this. Pretty normal Indiana stuff. Seems we are pretty much unscathed here in Warsaw but some damage nearby.

Prayers are going up for those affected! Here's hoping that none of us here at the forum, or those dear to us, has been hurt by it all.
